Virtual Field Day: Getting started with Agroecological farming
Event date: Tuesday, 28 April 2020 - 5:00pm
Agriculture is facing huge challenges; blackgrass, antibiotic resistance, extremes of weather and volatile supply chains, are forcing us to consider other ways of doing things.
Agroecology provides an opportunity to all farmers and growers to enhance their farming systems to become more resilient, efficient and sustainable. This virtual field day will provide an opportunity to learn about how different farmers are making agroecological approaches work on their farms - regardless of labels.
Katie Bliss (Agricology) will be chatting with George Young (Fobbing Farms, Essex) and David Rose (Home Farm, Notts) about their motivations and practical experiences of moving towards an agroecological approach. Sharing practical insights and tips for those looking to take steps in the same directions. See the Introduction here from George Young: https://youtu.be/4A99vrB3dWk
This was originally planned as a podcast - but inlight of social distancing - we would like to give you the opportunity to join us! There will be an opportunity to ask questions and join the discussion to support you in applying an agroecological approach on your farm.
