AHDB have just relaunched their new, easier to use Farmbench and are offering organic farms free support to get involved!!
Farmbench is a free online service (funded by the AHDB levy) that helps you collate and review your farm data to improve your performance. It is an easy to use benchmarking tool for farmers and growers that helps to identify where strengths and weaknesses lie within a farm business. By comparing results anonymously to farms with similar enterprises, Farmbench allows you to improve individual business performance and manage many of the challenges facing the sector, such as price volatility, Brexit, and economic uncertainty.
If you are organic, growing at least one combinable cereal or oilseed crop this harvest year, and did not participate in 2017 cereal/oilseed Farmbench, we are offering:
- Free support from trained Organic Research Centre (ORC) staff to take part in AHDB Farmbench 2019.
- Anonymous analysis of your farm data to benchmark it against other organic farms.
- A follow up meeting with other local organic farms to review the analysed data, compare key indicators and discuss the year’s successes and challenges with them.
We are recruiting for groups in:
- The east
- The southeast
- The Cotswolds and Midlands
- The southwest
- Wales and Marches
